Privacy Policy

Effective August 11, 2026

This policy explains how newsQ collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, private-beta news service, and emails.

Information we collect

When you create or use an account, we may collect your email address, display name, profile image, authentication identifiers, and basic account metadata. We also store choices you make in newsQ, such as news preferences, newsletter settings, and saved articles. When you submit beta feedback, we store the report, its type, the page path, and your account identifier when you are signed in.

We may automatically receive limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as IP address, browser and device information, request logs, cookie data, and error or diagnostic data.

Google user data

If you sign in with Google, newsQ requests only the basic account information needed to authenticate you: your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile image. We use this information to create and secure your newsQ account, identify you in the service, and communicate with you about the service.

newsQ does not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or other Google product content. We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. We disclose it only to service providers working on our behalf, when you direct us to, or when required by law.

How we use information

We use information to provide authentication, personalize the news feed, save articles, deliver newsletters you request, maintain and improve newsQ, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and comply with legal obligations. newsQ uses automated systems to evaluate and rank third-party news articles; those systems are not used to make legal, employment, credit, housing, or similarly consequential decisions about users.

Service providers and external content

We use service providers to host and operate newsQ, including Vercel for application hosting, Supabase for authentication and related infrastructure, and Resend for email delivery. Google processes data when you choose Google sign-in. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy commitments while performing services for us.

newsQ links to articles and websites operated by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

Cookies and security

We use cookies and similar storage that are necessary for sign-in, session security, and private-beta access. We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and your choices

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, keep required records, resolve disputes, and protect the service. You may unsubscribe from newsletter emails using the link in an email. To request access, correction, or deletion of your account information, contact us at mac@newsq.ai. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Children

newsQ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as newsQ evolves. We will post the updated policy here and revise its effective date. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to mac@newsq.ai.
